This incredible hound dog reverse intaglio conversion started life as an antique collar pin/ button piece. Many of these have been lost to history. The dog design looks almost 3D and is done by carving and painting from the back of the crystal cabochon, before setting it in gold.
This is a fine example, crafted of 15k solid gold and rock crystal (not glass), which makes it all the more special. We have combined this piece of history with a vintage solid 14k ring shank.
Why we love it
Dogs have been beloved throughout history. This piece embodies Victorian romanticism, commemorating a beloved best friend.
This piece was intentionally designed to be able to stack with thin or thick bands (see photos).
Note: This item was converted by our little Los Angeles shop and is one-of-a-kind. We will continue converting and restoring more pieces in the future but we cannot replicate this exactly. Once it's sold, it's gone, which makes these restorations so special. Add to cart to make it yours!
